OPUS OVERTONE
ABOUT
Michael (Opus Overtone) has always had an interest in music well before he picked up his violin at age 8. He played in the school orchestra for the following eight years in the 1st violin section. By then he was already together with friends, singing as the lead vocalist in their four-piece rock band. It was no surprise music had followed Michael throughout the years, composing full scores within the genres of classical and rock.
As a former Journeyman Airfield Systems Technician serving in the United States Air Force, and a graduate from Music Production bachelor’s degree at Full Sail University, Michael's foundation in progress grew from music theory and composition. With coursework ranging from audio principles, digital audio workstation technology, advanced music production, and audio engineering techniques.
During the course of his career, he's had the opportunity to be associated with multiple bands in
various freelance roles. Working as a Live Sound Engineer, Michael has honed his performance, technical, audio and compositional orchestration. Before he fought through the lines, fighting with a heart for our country filled with musical inspirations; now today, he's making it, fulfilling that dream and becoming the composer that he always wanted to be. It takes everything to follow through, to commit, to succeed, and to be defined among the greatest works of musical aspirations.
